The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA), which is spearheading preparations for sports tourists, has expressed its excitement for the international exposure the event will bring.

MTPA Acting CEO, Mr. Justus Mohlala, noted the significance of CAF’s decision to use Mbombela as the venue for Eswatini’s qualifiers.

“We are very delighted that CAF has chosen Mbombela Stadium as the home venue for the Kingdom of Eswatini national team. We look forward to welcoming our sports tourists from other provinces, neighboring countries, and internationally. Our team will be on standby to assist where needed.”

Beyond football, the MTPA is urging visitors to explore the natural beauty of Mpumalanga.

Known for its stunning landscapes and rich wildlife, the province offers more than just sports, and Mohlala encourages tourists to extend their stay.

“We would like to encourage our sports tourists to extend their stay in the province to explore its scenic beauty and wildlife experience. All sports lovers are encouraged to buy tickets to watch this historic match,” he added.

With the influx of visitors expected to boost the local economy, MTPA has ensured that all necessary safety measures are in place.
